Responsibilities (completed for each story):
Thoroughly investigate any American, Canadian or Scotch Whiskey Founder whose biographical information may be considered worthy of posting on the WU website
Research facts about the chosen founder to see if enough verifiable information is readily available to make an interesting story though internet articles, books, videos, personal interviews or other means
Procure photographs or create plausible images of founders based on known facts
Investigate and provide other photographs that enhance the story (such as family, labels, bottles, photos of distilleries)
Carefully note and document any sources that are used in the story
Write the story in a pre-defined format (1000 words, authoritative, confident, unmediated, chronological order, no conjecture, include any available personal information, etc.)
Create a “thumbnail” of each story that is capable of initially drawing the reader in
Highlight the phrases that enhance reader engagement
Carefully format the story after posting, strategically applying photographs where they improve the value of the wording
Ensure that the consistency of all stories past and present posted is maintained
Conduct and document SEO check to determine which stories are being read, and improve the readability of those that are not
