Joe Rohr (Papa Joe) is the Master Scheduler for Whiskey University.  He has a Master of Arts Degree and is on the Board of Directors of Whiskey University.  He started his Whiskey University adventure following his retirement from Chemical Engineering. His previous co-workers coined him the name Papa Joe due to his teaching them about processes and distillations.  His name Papa Joe has continued with his grandchildren and those that work with him at Whiskey University.

 He came to enjoy Whiskey while visiting various distilleries while growing up in Tennessee.  And he still enjoys Tennessee Whiskey today.  However, Whiskey University has opened his tastes to many other regions of the world.  He has been known to say he should have started his career in the spirits industry, instead of making plastics, pharmaceuticals, rocket fuel, agricultural chemicals, etc.  It would have been more fun tasting the products.
