Lt. Col. Tom Jackson
Tom Jackson has been a member of Whiskey University since September of 2024 and has earned a Master of Arts degree and the title of "Chartered Master Whiskey Taster" with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Bourbon Brigade. He has completed over 70 classes in the following:

Bluegrass Region
Tom, a native of Seattle, WA, is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, Texas State Guard, and Indiana Guard Reserve. He now resides near Eureka, CA with his spouse and daughter.
Outside of Whiskey University, Tom earned a Doctorate of Education (Educational Management) from the University of LaVerne, Masters of Science from Shippensburg University (Counseling), Bachelors of Science from Southwest Minnesota State University (Business), and an Associate of Arts from Highline College (WA). Although Tom has served many other universities in administrative roles, he recently retired as President (Emeritus) & Professor from Cal Poly-Humboldt.
From his early memories there was always a fifth of whiskey nearby. His father enjoyed “Canadian Club” and when Tom was older his father thought Tom was nuts to mix it with anything. Today, after all the whiskey tastings Tom can enjoy a toast to his father sipping one of his favorites: “Rabbit Hole Cave Hill” on the rocks.
Tom enjoys family time, movies, travel, horses, old cars, motorcycles, and is an avid pilot and aircraft owner.
