Whiskey University Recruiter

Whiskey University Canadian Ambassador

Brad.JPG

Brad Rodo joined Whiskey University in January 2021 as the 1st Canadian ever to attend Whiskey University! Having dual citizenship, he was also the first Texan to earn a Degree with our school as well. He quickly earned his Bourbon Diploma on March 30th, 2021, but didn't stop there! Brad went on to earn his Associates Degree and the title of a “Certified Bourbon Taster” on May 11th, 2021 and his Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in “The Bourbon Capital Region on July 20th 2021.

Brad Rodo was born on July 30th, 1987 and was raised in Streetsville, Ontario which is a suburb of Toronto, Canada. Brad graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree from Brock University in St. Catherines, Ontario in 2009 with a focus on Political Science. Brad is a Canadian Citizen, as well as a Permanent Resident of The United States, splitting his time between Toronto, Canada, and Fort Worth, Texas. Brad is married to Heather (Irwin) Rodo and the couple welcomed their first child; a Daughter named Brooklyn, on May 5th 2021, and their second daughter Georgia, on March 27th, 2024 (on International Whisky Day). Brad is a National Key Accounts Manager in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Brad really hit the ground running and has managed to earn Whiskey University's Highest Degree; the Masters of Arts Degree (by completing 48 classes) on June 1st, 2022. Brad has also earned himself the title of "Senior Chartered Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Bourbon Brigade.

Brad first developed a passion for Whiskey back in 2008 when he fell in love with Irish Whiskey during a summer internship in Dublin, Ireland. Upon returning home, under the guidance of his Uncle Kevin, Brad began exploring other types of whiskies, developing his Palate for Scotch, Canadian, and eventually landing on Bourbon. Although Brad is a fan of most Bourbons, his all-time favorite is Belle Meade Bourbon Reserve (from Green Brier Distillery out of Nashville, Tennessee).

While Brad's Day Job is in Pharmaceuticals, his true passion lies in Bourbon. He's not sure how or when, but he hopes to one day transition into the Bourbon Industry Full-Time. He figures if George Garvin Brown; a young pharmaceuticals salesman in Louisville could make the transition, so can he!

Brad proudly serves as the Canadian Ambassador to Whiskey University, as a Whiskey University Recruiter, and as a member of Whiskey University's Board of Directors.
