Paul Eggerding has been a member of Whiskey University since the summer of 2021. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Paul earned his Bourbon Diploma on October 4th, 2021.

Paul is a Lieutenant and paramedic with a fire department in the suburbs of Chicago. Paul was born in Oak Park, IL in 1971. Paul graduated with his Associate's Degree from Triton College in 1989 with a degree in Fire Science Technology. Eggerding also served in the United States Navy as a Firecontrol Specialist on board the U.S.S. Virginia CGN-38 during Desert Storm. Paul is currently living in Brookfield, IL just west of Chicago, Illinois. He spends his time teaching and talking about bourbon, spending time with his daughter Eva and riding his motorcycle across the country.

Paul was part of the Summer Semester of Instructors in 2021 and graduated with his Associate Degree after passing 16 classes on November 16th, 2021. Eggerding earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with 25 classes on January 12th, 2022, at Whiskey University as well as the title of "Adjunct Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of First Lieutenant in the Bourbon Brigade. Paul is also a Certified Bourbon Steward with the Stave and Thief Society.

Paul then earned his Master of Science Degree majoring in the Bourbon Capital region in June 2022 after completing his 45 classes earning the title “Chartered Master Bourbon Taster" and the Commensurate Senior Officer Rank of Major in the “Bourbon Brigade.”  Continuing on in his education, Eggerding then earned his Masters of Arts Degree on October 12th, 2022 after completing a total of FIFTY FOUR (54) Tasting Classes. Whiskey University then bestowed title of “Chartered Master Whiskey Taster” and the Commensurate Senior Officer Rank of Lieutenant Colonel (the highest rank awarded by Whiskey University) in the “Bourbon Brigade.”

Paul has always had a love for bourbon. It is the only spirit his grandfather kept in the house and the only brown spirit my father had in his life. He fell in love with our Native American spirit and all the history that it intwines with American history. Paul states that his “journey turned from a simple curiosity to outright obsession when he found a group of guys in a bourbon club who shared the same passion for not only the liquid but the stories and history that went along with them. It has been an amazingly fun ride since then and Whiskey University has helped me further down the rabbit hole of this enjoyment."

Lt. Tee Floyd

Tiffany Talibah “Tee” Floyd has been a member of Whiskey University since March 2022. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Tee earned her Bourbon Diploma with Whiskey University on June 7, 2022.

Lt Jr Gr Floyd was born on Christmas day in 1973 in Chicago, Illinois and has lived in various neighborhoods on Chicago’s south side. She now lives in the Oakland neighborhood. Tee earned her Associate Degree after passing 16 classes on August 9 , 2022.

Tee’s passion for bourbon began in 2017 during a girl’s trip to Louisville. She had always enjoyed trying new whiskeys and the distillery tours made her excited to learn more. During this trip, she tried samples at a few distilleries, but especially enjoyed those at Four Roses and Buffalo Trace.

After enrolling in classes at Whiskey University she has started her whiskey collection and has decided to major in the Bluegrass Region. Tee now serves on the “Whiskey Founders Life Story Committee” after volunteering to research contributors that have had significant impact on the Bourbon and Whiskey Industry. She realized that learning and writing about the people who are involved with the process is just as enjoyable as learning about the “juice” itself.
