Lt Colonel Jeanne Ksiazek has been a member of Whiskey University since March 2022. In 2016, Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Jeanne earned her Bourbon Diploma with 8 classes completed on May 25th, 2022.

Jeanne is in her mid 50’s and lives in Columbus Nebraska. Jeanne and her husband Ken have been married for 35 years and have two children, along with their first grandchild this last year. Her sons and their families are located in Nebraska and both work within the school system as an educator and athletic trainer.

Jeanne is the HR Manager for Ernst Auto Group, dealing with both GM and Toyota locations, located in Columbus, Nebraska. She has been with the company for the last 19 years.

Jeanne earned her Associate Degree and the title of “Certified Bourbon Taster” after passing 16 classes on June 21, 2022. As far as her enjoyment of whiskey and bourbon, it began with her and her husband visiting some of the state's distilleries. Her desire to learn more about the history, mash bills, and processes grew with every visit and tour they took. Her husband came home one day with information about "Whiskey University" and they were started on their path to a greater knowledge of a passion they share and love to share and discuss with others. "I am always excited to share tastes and knowledge with other whiskey lovers".

On August 14, 2022 Lt Colonel Jeanne advanced to earn the Title of “Master Bourbon Taster” by earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree at 30 classes and the rank of Captain in the Bourbon Brigade.

Jeanne continued her education and on December 7, 2022 she earned the Title of "Charted Master Bourbon Taster" by earning her Master of Science Degree at 42 classes and on March 19, 2023 she earned her Master of Arts Degree at 50 classes.

Lt Colonel Ken Ksiazek has been a member of Whiskey University since March 2022. In 2016, Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Jeanne earned her Bourbon Diploma with 8 classes completed on May 25th, 2022.

Ken is in his mid 50’s and lives in Columbus Nebraska. Ken and his wife Jeanne have been married for 35 years and have two children, along with their first grandchild this last year. Ken has been employed with a family owned concrete company as a dispatcher for the last 8 years in Columbus, Nebraska.

Ken earned his Associate Degree and the title of “Certified Bourbon Taster” after passing 16 classes on June 21, 2022. Ken has always had an appreciation for whiskey. He grew up with a heritage where whiskey was always served at the door of family weddings. He introduced his wife to this tradition and together their interest in distilleries and the history of whiskey grew. Ken was the one to discover Whiskey University and start he and his wife's path to their education of their passion for whiskey. Today they are still attending classes to further their knowledge.
