Lt. Colonel Brian Grooms has been a member of Whiskey University since November 2020. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Brian earned his Bourbon Diploma on December 17th, 2020.

Grooms is the Comptroller at Claud Heating & Air, LLC, located in Nashville, TN. Brian Grooms was born in March 1974 and raised in Newport, TN, which is in Cocke County. He is now a resident of Greenbrier, Tennessee.   Brian is married to Teresa Denise Grooms and have 4 children.  Grooms graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Technological university in December 1998.

Brian earned his Associate Degree after passing 15 classes on March 9th, 2021 and he is also a Recruiter for Whiskey University. On June 22, 2021 Grooms earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with 24 classes, at Whiskey University and the title of "Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Lieutenant 1st Class in the Bourbon Brigade. Brian became one of the first 40 graduate students to earn his Master of Science Degree and the rank of Major in the Bourbon Brigade on October 7th, 2021.
