Colonel Kevin Jump joined the Whiskey University Faculty in late 2025, following an accomplished academic journey through the program. Founded in 2016, Whiskey University offers Certificates, Diplomas, and Degrees in whiskey education. Kevin earned his Bourbon Diploma on July 22, 2025, after completing eleven courses.

His journey with Whiskey University began on May 15, 2025, when a coworker introduced him to Colonel Craig Duncan. After their initial conversation, Kevin recognized the program as the ideal path to deepen his whiskey knowledge and expertise.

Kevin has nearly four decades of public service experience, including 19 years with the University of Louisville Police and 20 years with Anchorage-Middletown Fire & EMS. He retired as Division Chief in August 2022. A lifelong resident of Louisville, Kentucky, Kevin remains deeply connected to his community.

He has been honored twice as a Kentucky Colonel—first by Governor Martha Layne Collins in 1985 and again by Governor Paul Patton in 2002.

Today, Kevin serves as the Lead Bourbon Educator at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Louisville, where he shares his passion for bourbon, history, and hospitality with guests from around the world.

Kevin completed Whiskey University’s Summer Class of 2025, earning his Associate of Science degree on September 22, 2025. He went on to earn both his Bachelor of Science (November 12, 2025) and Bachelor of Arts (December 15, 2025) degrees. 1st Lt. Rebecca Bryant

Email address: BeccaBryant@WhiskeyUniv.com

Woman in red dress holding a framed whiskey university degree in a store aisle.

Rebecca Bryant has been a member of Whiskey University since the summer of 2021. In 2016, Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Becca earned her Bourbon Diploma on September 14, 2021 after passing eight classes.

Prior to her career in the wine and spirits industry, Becca attended Centre College, having been awarded the Colonel Scholarship. She finished her bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisville with a major in English and a minor in French. During her time in college, Becca was presented with several poetry awards and had work published in various literary magazines.

After working for several years as a paralegal and reconsidering the rigor of law school, Becca made a career switch after discovering her love of wine and spirits. Shortly after taking a part-time job at Westport Whiskey & Wine in Louisville, Kentucky, she was awarded her Certified Bourbon Steward award in 2016. In her role as Tasting Room Manager and Private Event Coordinator, Becca taught several whiskey and wine classes, developed many bespoke cocktails and organized the store’s vast collection of bourbon and international whiskeys. Since then, she has worked as a manager and buyer in various Louisville wine and spirits shops. She continues to offer private tours of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and private whiskey and wine tastings.

Becca has one son, Eric, and enjoys spending much of her free time at her family cabin on Glen Lake in northern Michigan.

Becca was invited to join Whiskey University in 2021 by a fellow member who happened to be shopping at State Liquors, where she is currently Manager/Buyer. Because of her love of the history and science of spirits, she jumped on the opportunity.

Becca is a graduate of the Spring Class of 2022, graduating from Whiskey University on February 6, 2022, where she earned her Associate of Science degree with 19 classes, and the title of "Certified Bourbon Taster".

Bryant completed her 29th course, earning his Bachelor’s of Science degree the Title of Master of Bourbon Taster and the rank of First Lieutenant in the Bourbon Brigade on June 18th, 2024.
