Professor Jamie Wadkins has been a member of Whiskey University since 2018. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Jamie earned his Bourbon Diploma on March 27th, 2019.

Major Wadkins is an I.T. Infrastructure Manager at J. Alexander based in Nashville, Tennessee. Jamie was born in May 1981 in Iuka, Mississippi. Jamie graduated from American Intercontinental University in May 2007 with a Major in Information Technology. He now lives in Bellevue area of Nashville, Tennessee.

Jamie was one of the first forty students to earn his Associate Degree after passing 15 classes on October 14th, 2019. Jamie taught his first class on September 14th, 2019 when he taught the “Whiskey Row Region” Tasting Class. Jamie also teaches about a half dozen classes including “Brown-Forman” as well as a host of other classes centered around the Whiskey Row Region. On January 20th, 2020 Wadkins earned his Bachelors of Science Degree with 24 classes, at Whiskey University and the title of "Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Captain in the Bourbon Brigade.

Jamie became only the twelfth graduate student to earn a Post Graduate Degree from W.U. when he earned his Masters of Science Degree after successfully completing his 36th class on July 23rd, 2020 earning the title of "Chartered Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Major in the Bourbon Brigade. Wadkins then earned the Highest Degree bestowed upon a student when he was awarded his Masters of Arts Degree after completing is 43rd class on January 28th, 2021.

Whiskey University elected Professor Jamie Wadkins as the Department Head of the Whiskey Row Region Department in July of 2020. He is only one of four of the Whiskey University’s Department Heads.
