Trevor Monilaws was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1970. He grew up on the family farm in Absaraka and attended High School in Casselton North Dakota and then Minot State University in Minot ND. He is married with 3 children, 3 step-children and 2 grandchildren.  Currently, Trevor’s the West Fargo Packers Head Trap Team Coach. Interests include; family activities, golf, shooting sports, travel and sharing my bourbon knowledge with others.  He is currently employed at Hofmann Trucking, LLC. as the Operations Manager.  I took the deep dive into the bourbon and whiskey world in 2022 after a lack luster bourbon tasting by a local distributor at my wife’s coffee and wine bar.  It was after that when I got on the internet to see what options were out there to learn the bourbon and whiskey world.  That is when I came upon Whiskey University and the rest is history.  In the last couple years, we have donated private tastings at charity events and conducted several Bourbon tastings at the coffee shop and wine bar.  I have enjoyed meeting the different patrons attending the bourbon tastings and sharing my bourbon knowledge with them.

1st Lt. Charles Meyer joined Whiskey University in March of 2022. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Meyer earned his Bourbon Diploma after successfully completing ten classes on June 8th, 2022.

Charles Meyer is a Crane Operator at Taracon Precast in Hawley, MN. Charles was born in 1982 in Watford City, ND. He was raised and has lived in Fargo, ND since he was a child. Charles has 2 children who keep him very active. Charles earned his Associates Degree after completing 16 courses in Oct. 2022.

Charles has always enjoyed whiskey and especially bourbon, however his passion about the story and the history of the spirit truly transpired after watching the documentary “Neat: The Story of Bourbon”. When he heard Freddie Johnson speak about the story within the liquor, Charles couldn’t wait to learn more about the history. Charles began researching his favorite bourbons and couldn’t stop talking to family, friends, well anyone who was willing to listen about his favorite brands.

During his research he came across Whiskey University and reached out to learn more. Upon enrollment to the Train the Trainers program he became even more passionate as he learned about the history and learned how to taste many different varieties. His passion has caused his bourbon cabinet to swell to well over 150 different varieties of whiskey and bourbon. Charles continues to enjoy talking about bourbon while sharing some of his collection with friends.

Meyer earned his Associate Degree in Intermediate Bourbon Studies after finishing 18 classes on August 14th, 2022, earning him the title of “Certified Bourbon Taster.” He followed that up on December 14th, 2022, when Chuck earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with 26 classes completed at Whiskey University.
